The biggest shift was in the midsole. Here INOV8 introduced the new FLYSPEED™ PRO foam—a supercritical, nitrogen-infused EVA that’s both ultra-light and incredibly responsive. The aim was to strike that rare balance: plush enough to keep you protected over 100 miles, but still lively underfoot.
Good shoemaking always begins with the foot. We crafted the last to mirror its natural form—locked in at the heel and midfoot for stability, with generous room up front so the toes can splay and function properly, especially as fatigue builds. It’s a fit designed for lasting comfort, with just the right balance of structure and freedom.
Designing the outsole was all about precision. We chose Graphene-infused rubber for its unmatched grip and toughness on any terrain. Then, by analysing data from multiple wear-tested shoes, we mapped high-impact zones and pressure points. That let us place the 4mm multi-directional lugs exactly where they’re needed—maximising traction and extending durability where it counts most.
The upper was designed with flexibility in mind—minimal overlays keep it light and adaptive, while targeted support, especially around the toe box, ensures protection where it’s needed. Visually, the articulated forefoot overlays—nicknamed “teeth” during development—emerged from a desire to add more character to the design. What started as a functional tweak evolved into a defining aesthetic detail.
